A new WalletHub analysis just ranked Florida No. 10 out of all 50 states, and the reasons behind that ranking are worth paying attention to if you're weighing a move to Tampa Bay. WalletHub scored every state across 51 measures spanning affordability, economy, education, health, quality of life, and safety, and Florida's strongest showing came in the category that matters most to everyday living.
That affordability number lines up with what many Tampa Bay buyers are already feeling. WalletHub ranked Florida's housing costs as the fourth-highest in the country, trailing only Nevada, Hawaii, and California. It's a real cost to factor in, but it's not the whole story.
