The festival runs Friday, July 17 starting at 5 p.m., Saturday, July 18 starting at noon, and Sunday, July 19 starting at 11 a.m., all at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, 600 N. Ashley Drive. The setting alone is worth the trip. Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park sits along the Hillsborough River and connects to the Tampa Riverwalk, a 2.4-mile walkway that links to some of Tampa's most popular attractions, hotels, and restaurants along the downtown waterfront. It has been called Tampa's town square for good reason and this weekend it is living up to that title in full.
The festival features more than 100 vendors, live music, and cultural performances, offering an all-ages, in-person experience along Tampa's Riverwalk. The event combines food, entertainment, and community, giving visitors a chance to sample a wide range of Asian cuisines while enjoying live entertainment throughout the weekend. Whether you are a regular at your neighborhood ramen spot or someone who has never tried bao buns and is about to discover a new obsession, the variety across 100-plus vendors means there is something at every booth worth stopping for. Come hungry and plan to stay a while.
Beyond the food, the cultural performances give the festival a depth that goes beyond a typical street fair. This is a genuine celebration of Asian heritage one that reflects the richness and diversity of a community that has contributed enormously to the fabric of Tampa Bay. The live music runs throughout all three days, creating a soundtrack for the weekend that keeps the energy moving from the moment you arrive. It is the kind of festival where you show up for one hour and end up staying three, and you leave having tried things you never expected and met people you would not have otherwise.
Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is minutes from South Tampa, easily accessible via the Crosstown or a quick drive down Ashley Drive, with parking options throughout downtown. The Riverwalk itself is a great way to extend the day grab food at the festival, walk the waterfront, and end the evening at one of the many restaurants and bars in the surrounding area. Admission is completely free, making this one of the most accessible and generous events Tampa has offered all summer. It is running right now through Sunday at sundown. Go enjoy it.
